JUNIOR INTER-CLUB CONTESTS. The following is the draw for tomorrow's games in the junior Inter-club Competition of the Canterbury Tennis Association-: —Sumner v. St. Albans, at Sumner; Opawa A v. Addington A, at Addington; Linwood v. Addington B, at Linwood; Avonside v. Opawa B, at Opawa; Catholic Cathedral-A v. Catholic Cathedral B, at Catholic Cathedral; South Christchurch v. United, at South Christchurch; New Brighton, a bye. With regard to the first round of the competition, which had to be postponed, it has been arranged that the match between Catholic Cathedral B and Opawa B shall be played on the Cathedral Grounds on Tuesday next. The members of the New Brighton Club this year aire competing for a challenge cup of the value of £l4 14/-, which competition was won for two years by IVfi* G. W. Bishop, and last year by Mr C. Webb. This season the tournament has reached the semi-finals, and those left in are C. Butler and C. Webb and G. W. Bishop and R. Browning. They will play in that order, and it is hoped to finish during the coming week.

The anuual match between Canterbury and Wellington is to be played on the courts of the United Club on the 21st, each being represented by teams of six. Ladies' matches between the two provinces will also be played on the same day. The Canterbury team has not yet been chosen, but the selector, Mr E. J. Ross, has the matter in hand.

The Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association has decided to open schools competitions on the second Saturday in

March. There "will be singles, doubles, and combined. The programme for the local Easter tournament is in the hands of the printer, and should be available within a few days. The Linwood Club has finished its singles competition. In the final J. G. Dansen beat C. Alpress, 7-5,, 4-6, 6-3. The club has received about 20 entries for its. ladies' singles, and these are now being played. Entries are being asked for handicap doubles and combined doubles.
