OPIO.
The meeting of the Opio branch held on 27th August was very well attended and Mr McKinnon presided. Tt was resolved, on the motion of Mr Johnston, that it be a recommendation to the Executive to make a levy of 5s per member on all members on the books at 31st March last in lieu of calling on the guarantors, the above levy to relieve guarantors of 10s. The Fertiliser Bill was discussed at some length and approved of. — It was resolved pn the motion of Mr Creed, seconded by Mr Sheehan that grain buyers grade and purchase all grain on tbe farms, instead of by the present, system. — The branch again resolved to obtain the services of a draught stallion for tho season, and lists are now being signed for mares, und a special meeting will bo held on September 10th to appoint delegates to attend the horse pnrade.
