This brnnch met in the school on j Thursday night last week, but owing to j thc bad weather and the wretched condition of tho roads there was* not tlio usual good attendance. Tho Fertilisers Bill was discussed, unanimously approved of, and characterised as tlie best piece oi work the Union had so far dono. Mr Birch's letter on laud tenure was next read, and to the surprise of some there was a division of opinion ou the subject. An enthusiastic debate was continued till late. No voto was taken, as the discussion is to be continued at ne*t mooting at Seaward Dowus. where it is exacted a good many more members will put in an appearance. Tho membership of this new- branch is now '30.
