| The following ia our wyjekly repoVt on the condition of the local produce ronrjkcts:— i j Oats — 'there have been no movements during the week. .Shipments have been made to London on consignment aiid to South Africa in fulfilment of orders booked some time ago. The only colonial market nt present soems to bo in Auck- I land, which receives all its iUipplies from ' Southland ; prices, however. are low. The market, shows signs of going back, owing to the small dem'and and plentiful j supplies being still nvailnblo in store nt MliilV and throughout the country (lis- j tricts. A grade is very scarce and com- | innnds full market value. This quality is j saleable in Britain, but the quantity ' available is hardly sullicient io justify merchants taking orders. B grade is also very scarce, and merchants' are having great difficulty in disposing of the lower grades. At, the present moment, as far us we can ascertain, there nre no orders whatever in the market, and on the whole prospects do not .vein at all bright N'oniinal values are from Js \d to ls -ljd for B grade, on trucks at upcountry stations, nnd Id more for A grade. Chad. — No deals are on the bonrds ; the i northern market is apparently stocked. Ryegrass seed — Little doing this month, but local orders will soon be coming iu. Potatoes are still very slow of sale, although a fair quantity have been disposed of during the week at 22s '".d to 37s Gd per ton.
