CANADIAN-PACIFIC RAILWAY.
SEPARATION OF SERVICES
VANCOUVER, March 10. The Bill now before the Dominion Parliament, to allow the CanadianPacific Railway " to separate its oceangoing steamships from the parent company, i.s s being vigorously combated. Some members maintain that the incorporation of a new company m England would mean the perpetual, surrender of the Canadian Parliament's control over the ocean rates.
It is pointed out that a process of dismemberment would allow the company to increase its capital without increasing the assets.
