RESULT OF SINKING OF DRESDEN
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Chief of the General Staff announces that all restrictions have now been removed on the publication of ordinary shipping news.
[For some time past New Zealand newspapers, at the request of the Naval authorities, have made no mention of the departure dates of steamers sailing via Cape Horn, or of the departure or arrival of steamers to or from the Eastern Pacific Islands or the west coast of America beyond one week of their arrival m or departure from New Zealand. Tho arrival and departure dates of the Vancouver and 'Frisco mail steamers have also been safeguarded. This was considered necessary m the interests of New Zealand shipping. Restrictions were also placed on the use of wireless on steamers trading on our coasts. ]
