A.R.C. SUMMER MEETING.
AUCKLAND, last night. The A.R.C. summer meeting was concluded to-day m fine weather. The attendance was good, and the totalisator staff was kept busy handling £53,016, as against £39,754 10s last year. The figures for the meeting were £225,410, as compared with £180,355 10s last year, an increase of £45;064. Results:— Auckland Hurdles.— Phroso 1, Cloudy Dawn 2, Umeraboy 3. Also started: Waiputere. Kotoripo. Blue Garment, Ruffy, Spectre. Won easily by two lengths, third horse a length away. Time, 3.50. : County Handicap.— Glad Tidings 1, Spalflsh 2, King Lupin 3. Also started: Postillion,- Tinopai, Walorewa, Selection, Tact, Gloy, Lady Alicia, Denise Orme, Sir Malt. A fine finish. Won by a neck, third horse half a length away. Time, 1114. Auckland Plate.— Cherubini 1, Bon Ton 2 1 , Sir Solo 3. Also started: Battle Abbey, Soultikoff, Won by a length, 1} lengths between second and third. Time, 2.37. •Royal Stakes.— Hyettus l, Tatterley 2, Cjiarmilla 3. Also started: Glenfinnan, Hlymettius (coupled with Hyettus), Recb'ntre. Won by a head, third horse a length away. Time, 1,15. / Grey Handicap.— Signor 1, Tripoli % Moddite 3. Also started: Antiphone, Paoli, Banian, Rue de Guerre, Jackpin, Hinerewa, Glittering Sands. Tinoreka, Dandy Breeze, Takaninh Teoma, Cordite. Won by half a length, a length between second and third. Time, 1.1 4-5.
