(Special to Herald.) DUNEWX, this day. The attempt on the part of Mr E. C. May to salvage the treasure of the j Generol Grant has undoubtedly taken definite shape. Mr D. Anderson, of Dunedin, received a cable from Mr May, I dated yesterday, advising that he would positively leave San Francisco on December 16th. In the latest communication by mail Mr May stated that he had been very busy at San Francisco getting together up-to-date machinery for the salvage operations.
