ANNUITY TO COLONEL PORTER.
(From our Parliamentary. .Reporter.) ■i WELLINGTON, this day. The Washing-up Bill authorises the payment of an annuity of £160 per '&&•> mim to Colonel Thomas Win. 'Porter," of Gisborne, formerly tinder-Secretary of the New Zealand Defence,, Department, and afterwards president of the Tairawhiti Maori Land Board, and Sb Judge of the Native Land Court. 'm recognition .of .faithful services rendered to the Crown, and m consideration of the fact that although he was a cori; tributor to the Public Service superannuation fund it was found upon.J*is retirement that he was not entitled* to a. superannuation allowance under that Act.
