To judge by appearances there does not appear to be any shortening m the demand for State coal (says the Grey River Argus.) On Wednesday morning the heaviest engine on v the coast brought down a record quantity of coal which attracted great attention on arrival at the station. The engine, which is 68 tons m weight, had attached to it 98 hoppers and trucks of coal, the tonnage Wng over 600, besides two passenger cars and the guard's van.
