A deputation from trades union secretaries waited (,|n the Premier and asked for an invalidating Act. rectifying tha flaw whereby clause 7 of the Arbitration Act, under which certain parties are joiued to the agreement, is at present rendered inoperative. The Premier said he had given instructions to have an invalidating Bill drafted, and he had also instructed that it be so drafted it would make the Act retrospective. Ho would get the Bill through early m the' session.. He also said, that a big consolidating Bill of Arbitration Act Amendments was m hand for the coming session, and an opportunity '".'would : .)ae granted for taking evidence before.^tho Labor Bills Committee before the proposed invalidating Bill wajg put through. WELLINGTON, this aay. The final results of the poll for the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board election were not available until 2 o'clock this afternoon. The poll was headed by Dr (Mrs) Platts Mills. The Rev. Van Stavern was second, and the Rev. Mr Elliott third. Three Labor representatives were, among the successful candidates, including Mrs McLaren, wife of the ex-Mayor. ,
