SUFRAGETTE WARFARE.
RAID BY POLICE. ANTI-SUFFRAGETES' MISCONDUCT (Press Assn. — By Telegraph — Copyright.) (Received May 1, 11.45 a.m.) LONDON, April 30. One hundred police raided Kingsway and arrested five officials. Later the police arrested Mrs Drummond and Annie Kenny, charged wit}making inflammatory speeches, publishing the newspaper "Suffragette," and collecting money for criminal objects. They were remanded. Bail was refused. Anti-suffragettes looted the offices of the Women's Political Union at Newcastle at night. They broke open de, )• and destroyed documents. The Government has filed «a petition m bankruptcy against Mr Pethiek Lawrence (suffragist) for the law costs which he refuses to pay, on the ground tha' he "declines to bo victimised."
