MONSTER OCTOPUS.
MYSTERY OF MISSING MAN. ZEEHAN (Tas.), April 21. A tragedy of the rough portion of the west coast of Tasmania has been cleared up by the discovery on Sunday by two young men, Geninon and Cooper, at /Ournwell. ' ; y They caught a monster octopus, 12ft 6in long, 3ft thick from chest to back, and 3ft across the back, and on opening the stomachy they found a .man's shirt inside. The shirt was similar to that known to have been worn by the miner, Richard Shaw Burke, who was losfc on£he coast several months ago, and supposed to have been SM'ept from Trumpeter Rock, 80yds distant frona where the octopus was killed. > /• ■ The octopus is the largest known of on the west coast of Tasmania.
