GROWN LANDS.
A sale of Crown lands was held at the Lands Office to-day, the Receiver ol Revenues wielding the hammer. Section In, in the township of Port Airanui, containing 38 perches, was started at the upset price of £10, and the price raised in £1 bids to £21, at which figure it .vaa purchased by Mr C. A. DeLa-utour for Air Jas. Taylor. Sections 9 and 4, Onnond, were passed in. Section 1, Patutahi, 1 rood, sold at the upset of £20 to Air D. McNair. The other Patutahi sections were withdrawn from sale. Sections 14 and 15, block 9, Buckley, .vere sold to Mr Benjamin Jollie for £7 10s each, the upset price. There was a considerable number of renders but not much competition for the 67 sections in Te Araroii township. The following were the successful tenders, the prices stated being the annual rental per annum for the section : Section 11, 10 acres, Geo. Poote, £1 6s ; section 18, 3 acres, C. Hansen, £1 12s; section 19, 2 acres 1 rood 17 perches, C. Hansen, fil 12s; section 20, 10 acres, 6. Foote, £1 lls; section 22, 10 acres, O. W. Liddle, £3; section 24, 2 acres 3 roods, Liddle, £2; sections 27 and 28, 5i acres each, £1 15s ; section 29, 9 acres, G. McDonald, £2 14s; section 30, 8 acres, B. MeLaughlin, £2 10s 6d ; section 30a, 7^ acres, C. A. DeLautour, £3 10s ; section 43, 1 acre, 18 perches, R. McCullough, £1 10s; section 44, 1 rood 19 perches, R. McCullough, £1 2s 6d; section 46, 1 rood 14 perches, J. Lewis, £1 2s 6d ; section 48, 37 perches, T. McLaughlin, £1 ss; section 50, 1 rood, T. McCullough, £1 ss; section 67, 37 perches, Liddle, £3; section 70, 1 rood 6 perches, Liddle, £3 ; section 71, 38 perches, Liddle, £5 ; sections 80, 81, 82, 83, i acre each, £1 Is, C. A. DeLautour; sections 89, 90, 91, 92, { acre each, Korauria. Tawhena, 15s. There were no applicants for the Waingaromia land.
