Barnes has been re-eleited secretary of the Amalgamated Society of Engineers. Wheat and flour are advancing. A further rise of one shilling is reported. The market is very strong. The flues in the kitchen underneath Spurgeon's tabernacle set fire to the building , while dinner was being prepared for the Pastors' Conference, then sitting. The property was insured to half its value. The communion plate and records were saved. The Rev. Thos. Spurgeon calmly conducted the conference until retreat from the Pastors' College was advisable. '"■'"'.- VIENNA, April 21. , The Vienna Bourse has been destroyed by fire. OTTAWA, April 20. The Dominion Commons passed the tariff resolutions, extending preference to the extent of one-fourth reduction of duties on British, New South Wales, and Indian goods, and British and West Indian sugars. Preference will probably be extended to Fiji and Queensland sugars. '
