SPECIAL SUBJECT WEEK (JULY 11).
Dear Little Folk. — It has been decided that the D.L.F. Page in the Witness of JuJy 11 shall be set aside for the contributions, to S.S.W. This year Dot has kindly permitted me to choose the subjects, and • though they are different, and some may think a trifle harder than the preceding ones, still (because I have D.L.F. to depend on) I am sanguine of success. All D.L.F., p&et and present, are requested to write short stories or romances (original) with titles containing either of the three following words • " Promise," '" Sacrifice," or " Ordeal." Old writers art specially invited to contribute. All contributions must reach Dot on or before June 24. Now, D.L F.. use your imaginative powers, and let us make S.S.W., 1906. a brilliant success — an honour to our land and our Queen. I am depending on you all. — Yours hopefully, JESSICA. [1 can only echo Jessica's wish, and I trust we shall this year have quite an array of old writers represented in S.S.W.— DOT.]
