MAYONNAISE DRESSING
A good mayonnaise dressing without oil is made in the following .manner : — Mix well and pace on the fire to boil, three-quarters of a tablespoonful each of flour, sugar, butter, and dry mustard, and one-half cupful of -milk and one-half cupful of vinegar. Allow this to boil until quite thick, stirring constantly. When cool beat into it the yolk of one egg. If too thick, thin with equal parts of vinegar •«nd milk
