THE NEW ZEALAND LOAN
-'' LONDON. November 29. The New Zealand loan has bee* allotted. [The loan is for £1,500.000, bearing 3 per cent, interest, the minimum being- fixed at 94.] The New Zealand loan of one million and a-half, bearing interest at the rate of 3 per cent., with the minimum fixed at 94, was quoted at a discount of about one-quarter per cent. The public subscribed -about one-hall of the loan.

It 13 probable that on the return of Mi Spragg, chief of th( Hansard staff, from Auckland, final arrangements will be made for the appointment of shorthand reporters to ths courts, under the act passed by Parliament.
