TOKOMAIRIRO PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.
The annual congregational meeting of the Tokomairiro Presbyterian Church was held on Wednesday evening. " The report and balance sheet which had been circulated among the members were read. The Treasurer (Mr James M'Millan) stated that the balance sheet was the most satisfactory that had been presented for several years, notwithstanding that the Milburn congregation had become a separate charge, the receipts beinb £15 more than for the previous year. Mr James Adam also spoke in similar terms. The report and balance sheet was adopted. The Rev. Mr Miller intimated that nomination for elders and deacons would be taken ehortly. The question of introducing instrumental music (notice of which had already been given) was freely discussed, and the following motion was carried. — ''That a t-allot be taken and papers given out on two consecutive Sundays to the congregation for or r gainst the introduction cf instrumental music." The Rev. George Miller presided at tie meeting.
