GYMNASTICS.

KOTKS BY I'AUALLELi*.

The Dunedin are about the only club etill practising, and the enthusiasts ?re to be seen every Wednesday night hard at it. Captain Matthews, Siede'berg, Austin, and T. Fergusson are all in great form. This club has lost a good member in Pritchard, who has gone north-. The Albany -Street brought their season to a close with a smoke concert aud euchre tournament c« Wednesday night, when a very enjoyable evening was spent. Occasion was taken to present Captain Hudson and Deputy-captain C. Hudson with a sovereign case aud a pair of gold sleeve Jinks respectively, as a mark of the esteem in which they are held by the membere of the club. They thoroughly deserve this recognition by the members, as they have both done a gieat deal to bring thie club on.

Lan Gallaway is at present away from Dunedii). It is hoped that the Moinington'i captain will be back to lead his club on by the opening of the reason. This club hatnot been blessed with the best of luck in the past. I hope their luck will turn this season.

The High Street 3>r,9 a few enthusiast* who do not fail to avail themsphes of any opportunity to have a little practice. The D.A.A.C. are hying- to ge-t a team oi gymnasts to give an exhibition in connection with their spoils next Saturday. This is a step in the right direction. I think sports meetings should have events for every kind of sport. possible, as unity is (strength, and the more events yoit o«n have the greater the success of the sports.
