The German mail steamer Neckar brought to Adelaide 27 Samoan natives, who have been through Europe on an exhibition tour during the past two years. They were a source of attraction to many sightseers.
.at Yarrawonga (New South Wales) a man fired from a shot gun at a fox as it darted out of a log. The charge struck the side of the log, glanced off, and entered the back of a comrade standing near, penetrating his lungs and kidneys.
