Rules and Regulations.

1. All nominations and. acceptances must be 1 accompanied by the necessary Fees, otherwise : they may be deemed informal. 2. Nominations for all Handicaps, including Time Trots, to be made to the secretary on or before 8 p.m. on SATURDAY, 28th December, 1901. 3. Weights will be declared on or about MONDAY, 13th January, 1902. 4. Acceptances, and En tries for the Hack Race, will be received up to 8 p.m. on SATURDAY, 16th January, 1902. 5. Handicaps for Second Day will be declared at 9 p.m. on 22nd January, 1902. Acceptances at 10 p.m. 6. No entry will be received for any of the above races except upon the condition that all disputes arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards or whoai they may appoint. Their decisions upon all points connected with the carying out of this programme shall be final. 7. Any jockey riding except in the colouis entered will be fined £1. 8. Any person jntering a protest must deposit £2, and should such protest be dismissed by the stewards, the amount will be forfeited. 9. The New Zealand Rules of Racing will be strictly adhered to. 10. Entries to state age, colour, and pedigree of horse, name of owner, and colours of the rider, and performances of all horse 3 not known to the handicapper. 11. The Trotting Races are held subject to the lules of the New Zealand Trotting Association. 12. The winner of any race of value of £25 or over after declaration of weights to carry penalty of 7lb. J.
