WAITAHUNA.
May 24. — The winter so far appears to have set in with greater severity than iB usual this month. Frost or winds have not been so prevalent as rain. Salvation Army. — The Salvation Army are at present in the midst of their harvest festival. An auction sale was held last night, and tonight the festivities terminate with a coffee supper.
Political address. — Mr Allen, M.H.R., addressed a meeting of his constituents at Waitahuna on Wednesday night, his address being merely a resume of that given at Milton, and since published.
Club. — The Young Men's Club was reopened tor the winter season recently. and has already
become a favourite and genera* -ssort onjSatu* day nights. Babbits.— The rabbits stil continue to Tj« sent away from here in great quantities. There are three agents — Messrs M'jilillan, H. Aulcl, and "VV. Auld— and all are kept busy.
