THE LABOUR MARKET.
Messrs Skene and Son report under data May 30:— All hands have again settled down to work after last week's holidaying and racing, and many have gained wisdom through losing their hard-earned money. But the boys must have their fun. Winter work is plentiful, and prospects are excellent for farm hands of all sorts. Rabbiting and mining are in full swing, and, as usual, boys and lads foi farm and dairy are in large demand. Town is getting through the winter bravely, and no good tradesman orworker can honestly, grumble at the wages ruling.
