LITTLE FOLKS' PHOTOS.

Dear Little Folkß,— "- Ziska " suggests that, I should invite my dojw little friends to send their photos, to have one reproduced in this column every week. This would scarcely he satisfactory, but I think a most interesting group of our little people could be .formed, to be published in the Daily Times and Witness Christmas Annual. 1899, which will probably be issued about November'next. What do you all think, little ones? I fancy you will all agree with me, so we shall look upon it as cettled. Now for the rules: — Write your name, age, and district pretty high

up towards the face, and as distinctly as

possible. Let the photo be dark, not faded, and on un-

glazed cards. Small photos if possible — carte de visites or midgets. Only really good photos, which will reproduce well, to be sent, as faded pr light-coloured ones do not give satisfaction to either the sender, the block maker, or anyone else, and all such will therefore be rejected.

All photos to_ be in not later than June 30. 1 shall wait with interest to see what my little friends have to say on the proposal, but I wish them to remember that the Christmas Annual travels all over the world, and the page of my little folks' likenesses will be looked upon as a typical group of young New Zealanders by people who only know our sunny islands as a name on the map, and I am anxious that they shall do credit to bo'tb themselves and to "Dot." — Yours truly.
