CHARITABLE AID BOARD.

■ The monthly meeting -of the. committee cl the Charitable Aid Board, held on Tbu sday, was attended by Messrs R. Chiiholm (chairman,), A. C. Begg,' -C/ Samson, J. Green, R. Clark, C. 'fl&yce*, R. Wilson, and D. Baxter.

It wan reported that the treasurer had paid a requisition of £750 from the Benevolent Institution, for the maintenance of the inmates for th>s ruoutV, an I hit aefcion was approved. The Chairman stated that the board had a debit balance at tha bank of £470 0s 3d, bub the Government subsidy, of £628 14s was due.' * The Secretary stated, in reply to Mr Begg, that 'he thought the -board paid .6£ percent;, interest on the overdraft. -
