SOUTHLAND GRAIN MARKET.
Invercargill, May 20.— The only change in the produce markets this week is the hardening of wheat, of which large sales have been made at 53 per bushel (on trucks). The demand for oat 3 continues strong. Under large competition on Satur3ay las>t fully 20.000 aacks were offered, aud nearly ill sold at 24 to 2s Id (sacks extra) at sidings ; specially clean sparrowbills, 2s 2d ; milling Sutherlands to 2s 3d ; barley, 5s 3i (for malting) ; potatoes, £6 103.
