At tte rise of the tape Aquatic, and Surrey shot to tba front. Raugipubi and Light being left. Aquatic and Surrey raced along tbe back six lengths ahead of Indian Shot, and rcmaded the bend in that order, with Light three lengths behind the son of Torpedo. Ah fche turn for home Surrey showed in front, hob nag quickly displaced by Indian Shot. I From a gcod start Tangaroa went to the < front followed by Troubadour and Muscatel, At the first hurdle Tangaro* and Troubadoui tumbled heavily, and Claymore took an the lead, with Tally-ho some lengths away chird ( The light weight led into the straight, with the top weight lying fourth, and Riot olose up. Claymore maintained his lead to the water jump, over which he was followed by Muscatel, Muscatel was the first to cross the jump into ths course, the field being prettily clustered. Riot, Muscatel, and Claymore took the double jump in front of ths stand together, Tally-ho coming | a cropper at the second fence.
