Ueorgo Henry Oat way applied for a prospecting dredging area of about 48 acres, taking iv the bea and about a chain of each buik of Deep Stream by Rocklandg station. — The application was adjourned till December 3.
Montague Cradock applied for a 14 days' protection of a water race granted on 4th June, 1897. on the Three o'clock Creek, in the Silver Ppak district.— Granted.
DREDGING RETURNS.
The liquidators of the Sew Hey Gold Mining Company (Limited) have receive! a telegram reporting 420z 14dwt retorted gold from No. 4 dredge. ->■ . ,■- Mr Reeves reports a return of 13oz ldwt 6gr from the Enterprise dredge for this week. The Upper Waipori Alluvial,, Gold Dredging Company (Limited) obtained last weeJs from No. 1 dredga lloz 16dwt of gold for 98 hours' dredging. The Jutland Flat (Waipori) Gold Mining Company (Limited) obtained last week 18jz 9dvrt of gold for 144 hours' wage 3 time, 137 hours" actual dredging. '
