This horse has travelled the Winton diatriobfor the past five seasons, where he has made for himself a great reputation as a Bire, and his progeny nre considered amonget the heßt in Southland. himself is of great substance and his pedigree is ' irreproachable — viz, sire Lord Lyoii, by the ve.nowned 'Lord Salisbury (imp. 1 ), out of Myrtle (imp ) ; The M'Callum'-s dam Russell's far-famed > mare Miss M'Cormick, by Young Prince of Wales, imported from Hcotlaud. Bred from imported stock on both .tides of the bluest -,Clyde&clale strains of blood obtainable, his pt-digree is bardio beat. The farmers ,of the Fainierston and surrounding districts are to be congratulated upon bavine the services -of so excellent a bred hqrse placed at their disposal.
