A meeting oF tho committee of the Victoria Children's Ward movement was h«ld at Mr Ha«ti»gs'a office, M«n«e street, on Friday, when there were pre?e»t — Mi-ssrs P. Miller (in the chair), R. Toe Chairman said that the trustees intended to proceed with tha work of erecting the -new ward at once. There would be some little function at the layiag of the foundation stone, and also at the opening of the ward, which would take about six or eight months to, build.
