Mr A. G. Fenwick supplies tho following extracts from the head office report for tho wtek ending December 18 : — Smultir-g Plant.— Both blast furnaces running full time. Extension of Smelting "Plant.— Framework of naw ore bh.s about completed : ore storago pit in progress ; excavation for new blower room about finished ; foundation of No. 5 Roots blower in progress. Converter Plant. — Converters : Blast connections for Nos. 2 and 3 completed. Expect shortly to receive tops of converters, and will then start active operations. Dangerous bush fire of the 12th did no damage to any part of the plant, the only loss being a few tons of firewood.
