ANSWERS TO CORRESPONDENTS.

Levinia L.— (l) To a quarter of a stone of flour add four tablespoon fuls of yeast and a pint of warm milk ; make a bole in the middle of the flour and pour in the milk, cover it, and place it near the fire until it has risen, then add the same quantity of lukewarm milk and a little salt Xrean it for 10 minutes; then place it befoie the rire. and whoa it has remained for an hour 'and a-half divide it and make it into loaves ; the length of time for baking depends on the size of the loaves — f rom an hour and ahalf to two hours. Boil gently for two hours, adding boiling water to keep up the quantity fir?t put on. Let stand till lukewarm, then add Jib sugar and one hundful of flour ; stir well and bottle, tying the corks down. The above will make Bevftn bottles, leady for use in three days, and it will keep three months. Sissie.— o) Lemon juice is used for frecklea not for sunburn. For sunburn lanoline, obtainable in small quantities at any chemist's, is best. (2) For u;oles try a solution of peichloride of iron paintsd on the moles twic« daily. If that fails put two dvopi of crcos>le with a tablespoonful of water,- mix ia fl, bottle, and apply night and looming. You can get 6d worth of each at any chemist's. Better send 2d extra for postage.
