Bart won bjth the Newmarket and Flying Handicaps with Petroliue. In the Hurdles', one mile and a-half, won by Mystical in 3min iiea, Donnehy and Venar wore each fined £1 for being lite at the post. W. Gillie, a well-known lightweight rider, died , last week in the New Plymouth Ho3pital from . tuberculosis. ■ The result of the inquiry into the running of Gold Cup at the last meeting of the Feilding Jockey Club is that the horae, Mr Nopera (the owner), and Cuneen (the trainer)] have been disqualified for 12 months, D. Watts (the jockey) beiug severely cautioned. Mr J. Quinlivau ha* cold Douglas (Crawfurd , Priory— Good Fruit) to Mr G. ID. Richardson for £550. In the Wellington Cup Douglaß haa 6.11.
