Gore, January 13. The Gore Racing Club started their Summer meeting to-day in very unfavourable weather, < the rain pouring down all day. This did not affect 'the speculation, which was very brisk — £1823 passing through for the first six race*. The racing was good, but marred by wretched starting. Owing to the wet weather, some time was wasted debating whether they would hold the meeting, and the first race was an hour late. Tho seventh race was three hours late, and your reporter could oulj get the bare result before the telegraph office closed.
