Mr Skene reports under date October 17 :—: — Farm wosk is well advanced, but good drillers will be needed for the turnip j-owing Station work is most to the front now, and the demand improves for mustevers, shepherds, rouseaboute, cooks &c. Couples are rather flat just at present. Tbe flax industry is wakening up, and boys and lads get a good start. Dairy people are also on the move with the fine spring. Town will get thinned out a bit now. It is high time. Wages keep steady and regular for country workers. PROPERTY SALES.
