Fruit. — Market now barely supplied with oranges, and prices priming :— Oranges (Sydney), 6s 6d to 7s 6d ; lemons Ss ; Whaugarei Poor-man oranges, 8s to 10s ; Sevilles, no sale. Apples : French crabs and Stunners, 10s to lls. Pineapples (short supply). Bananas, lid to 2]d. Rhubarb : The late copious rains have brought large quantities forward, and prices have recedud to Id per lb. We have a large supply coming forward from Kaitanaata and other districts. A few early kidneys have come forward from Auckland, and sold at 3d. Peanut?, l!d to 2d. Produce.— Eggs : Supply barely equal to demand. Fresh butter is over-supnlied ; prime salt has little inquiry. Bacon : Roll, 6d to 6+d Hams, 7d to Bkl. Pigs, 4d to 4 }d. Cheese: Very little Akaroa offering, 4]d to 5d ; factory, 4Ad to se-l. Honey, 3Jd to 4d. Onions, £9 to "£lO. Potatoes : Derwents, £5 to £5 10s— the latter price for small lots. Poultry in good demand : Roosters, 3s 9d to 4s 3d ; hens, 2s 3d to 2s 9d ; ducks, 4s 6d ; turkejs, (i.d to 7+d. Rabbitskins : Best winters, Is to Is 2.d ; medium and mixed, 9d to lid. Chaff, 45s to GOs ; medium, 62s 6d to 75s for best heavy.
