MALD HILL FLAT.
October 16.— Mr Ravlins met the electors of Bald Hill at the Speargrass Hotel on the evening of the 14th, and delivered a preliminary address. Although he mostly condemned the present Government, he gave them credit for some good actions, and altogether his address was faiily delivered. He objected to Mr Seddon's treatment or would-be treatment of the Railway Commissioners ; al'o to his mode of carrying on co operative works, and favoured small contracts in place of co-operation. At the close of his address a vote of thanks was proposed to Mr Uawlins for his address, and the meeting broke up.
