There is great enthusiasm at Toulon over the Russian fleer. S ! x vessels arrived to-day. The mayor has forbidden cries hostile to other nations.

October 14.

The Russian warships were received with unexampled enthusiasm on their arrival at Toulon. One hundred thousand flags and miles of scarlet", were displayed. A succession of fetes will be held. The officers were almost mobbed by the crowd in their enthusiasm.

Admiral Avelon, in command of the Russian fleet, in reply to the welcome accorded to the fleet in Toulon, said the entire Russian people would be grateful for the enthusiasm displayed.
