THE MACETOWN REEFS.
The Premier Company. — Mr Walter J. Stanford, the manager", reports under date 13th inst. :— "The output of gold for the last month (September) was 2370z lldwt bar bullion from 335 tons ore. The Sunrise mill has started again, and it is hoped that no further interruption will ensue. Development and stoping is being steadily pushed ahead, 30 miners being now employed. The snow is fast disappearing from the p> aks."
The Tipperary Company.— The mine manager (Mr W. J. Stanford) reports under date 13th inst. : — " Work is progressing steadily in this mine. During last month (September) the total footage risen and driven in the mine was 208 ft, and 76 tons of quartz sent to grass— representing the work of 18 miners for six days and 12 miners for IS days ; besides this, the contractors drove 95ft in the new low level tunnel. The paddock is now full, and development work only is being carried on. The tramway is fast approaching completion, and everything is waiting for the delivery of the rails ordered three months ago from Home. The weather is fast improving, and in consequence the roads also."
