The Tahuna Park Club's programme for January 14 provides for the disbursement of £221 in stakes, the chief event being the Domain Handicap Trot, in harness, which is to be run something after the style of the Carnival Trot that wo had at the Exhibition meeting at tho Forbury in 1889, the difference being that winners of sections are not penalised in the final. The acceptors are to be divided into two sections, those horses having the longest starts to go by themselves and the others by themselves, after which the placed horses in both sections are to meet in the final. As the distance is only a mile there should be lots of nominations. The race is to be trotted in harness, and there is besides a harness race for ponies. The other five events are to be in saddle. The nomination date is December 24, that is Saturday of this week.
