Auckland, July 4. Among the passengers by the Sandfly, for Tonga, are the Premier of Tonga, the Rev. Shirley Baker, and Prince Lefon. At a special meeting of the Auckland Football Association to consider a telegram from the South re the football tournament at Wellington, the following resolution was carried : — "That the Auckland team cannot possibly leave before August 2 for the purpose of taking part in the interprovincial tournament, ■ for which at present there appear to be no arrangements."
