I sea the Rotomahana made the following passage from Melbourne : first day's run, 362 knots ; second day's run, 304 knots ; third day's run, 282 knots; fourth day's run, 344 knots. The passage ocoupied 3 days 16 hours. I desire to know the average rate per hour in kilometres, 69 nautioal miles being equal to 6208 English miles ? 159. By Fitz. Barry, Kuri Bush :—

Standing at a distance of 60 feet from the foot of a tree, I discovered the distance from the top of the tree to my standpoint to be 80 feec. I desire to know the height of the tree ?
