RULES AND REGULATIONS.
Nominations for the ) St. Andrew's, Spring, Trotting, Hurdle, President's, and Grand Stand Handicaps must be made to the secretary, at the Empire Hotel, Dunedin, on or before 8 p.m. oa Saturday, l&th October. Weights declared on the ovaninij of Monday, 17th November. The weights for the President's and Grand Stand Handicaps will be declared on the evening of the First Day's haces Acceptances on night < f general entry. General Entries to be made at tho Empire Hotel, Duaedin, [on Thursday, 20th November," before 8 p.m.
All races to be run under tho Dunedia Jockey Club Rules. All entries and acceptances must be in Bealed covers, addressed to the Stewards or Secretary, and contain entrance money, sweepstakes, description and age of horse. The Jockey's Colours, those registered excepted, must be stated inthe entrance form, under a penalty of two soya., which, while unliquidated, will disqualify any Lorse whose owner or nominator has incurred such a penalty. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk ot the Scales, at l&ast haif an,hour before the advertised time of starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this lule ehali pay a fine, to bo imposed by the Stewards, not exceeding five soys, to the race fund. In the event of any per? on entering a protest, the sum of £2 2s must bo lodged with the Secretary before such protest is considered ; this sum to be forfeited to tbe funds, should the' Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross of all moneys paid in accordance with the Programme, for expenses. All disputes, claims, and obj clions arising out of the racing Bhall be decided by the Steward*, or whoever they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the currying out of the Programme shall be final. Entries received only under these conditions. All entries should be made on the Club's Printed Form of Entry, which may be obtained from the Secretaries of the Dunedin Jockey Club, Canterbury Jockey Club, Wellington Jockey Oiub, and Auokland Kacmg Club.
Note. Nominations, Entries, and Acceptances will not be received aj 'ter the time stated, under any pretence whatever, or without being accompanied, with the necessary amount in task.
