Adelaide Flour has been inquired for, and the price has advanced about 10s per ton. New Rice is also in demand, but stocks are very small ; the price may now be quoted •40s per ton over last week.
The following may be taken as the quotations for leading articles :—: —
Adelaide flour, £14 10s; Provincial, £10 10s to £11 ; in small bags, 10s extra.
Tea, duty paid, common, Is 9d ; good medium, 2s 3d to 2s 6d ; superior kinds, 2a 9d to 3s ; boxes, 32s to 36s ; orange pekoe, 2b 9d to 3s 3d,
Sugar, duty paid— Whites, £48 to £52 ; grey crystals, £46 to £48 ; yellow do, £45 to £4 > ; yellow counter, £42 to £44 ; common yellows, £38 to £40.
Spirits (in bond) : Brandies, Martell'a or Hennessy'a, 7s 6d per gallon ; second brands, €_ 6'i to 7s ; Martell's, in case, 2Ss fid ; Henaessy's, do, 28s 6d. Whisky, Scotch, os 6d per gallon, ; Irish, 6s ; Stewart's do. in case, 11s. Rum, 3s Gd to 3s 9d. Geneva, J.D.K.Z., per case, 123. Old Tom, per case, 14s 6d to 16s 6d. Ale (in bulk), duty paid, £9 10a to £10 ; in bottle, Tennant's, 13s 3d ; Jeffreys, Youngers, or Bass's, 12s ; other brands, Cd. less.
Porter, duty paid — Guinness's, Blood's, and Machin's, in glass, 12s 9d ; Byass's, 10s 9d ; Victoria Stores, 9s 6d ; other brands unsaleable.
Aromatic tobacco may be quoted at 2s to 3s ; dark, at Is 6d to 2s ; tens' at Is 6d to 2s 3d ; Barret' 3 twist, 2s 9d.
Soap : Liverpool, no demand ; Colonial or Provincial, 345.
Butter — Provincial, prime, Is sd ; Wellington, faulty, Is to Is 3d.
