WINTON STOCK SALE.

Owing to the near approach of- shearing and the contra- attraction of the visit of Sir J G Ward to Heddon Bush, there was a very small attendance ol farmers yesterday. The entries also, of sheep and cattle were very light, comprising about £00 of the former, mostly composed of old ewes with laxqhs at foot ; about 60 of the cattle were mostly dairy cows. Prioes ranged as follows :— Aged ewev with, lambs at foot, 9s Id, 103 sd, 10s od, 10s lOd, all counted ; medium hoggets 14s 8d; 2-year-old cattle 535; yearlings to 355; dairy cows from ' £g \os to £6 aooording to quality.
