Farmers' Union.
Under the auspices of the Farmers' Union, Mr A. M. Paterson, formerly organiser for the Uniofr, and a leading authority as a veterinary surgeon, de- ! livered a lecture to members of the local branches of the Union, m the Town Hall, on Friday evening, his subject being "The care of pregnant animals." There were some 80 farmers present, all of them interested m the breeding of good stook, and to whom the lucid address should prpye ' qoi^siderable value m the treatment of tjieir breeding stock. ._.-. .
