OTAUTAU STOCK SALE.

The usual monthly stock sale was held m the Otautau saleyards on Friday last, when there was a good attendance oi buyers. The heavy rain prevented a large entry of sheep, the roads being flooded iv places, and only 779 were yarded. These, however, were of good quality, and met with ready sale. Thexe were 76 head :of cattle yarded, but owing to the scarcity of buyers for the class entered, sale 3 were dull, following are the prices obtained : — Shsep.— 779 yarded. Hogge's 12s 6d, 14s 6d, 17b 3d, 18s 9d, 20s Id, 21s Id ; fat wethers 19s sd, 21s 8dCattle. — 76 yarded. Milch cows £5 2s 6d, £4 10s, £7 lis ; steers and heiiers £2 16s, £3. Two draught mares were sold at £22 10.? and £19 ; a draugh- gelding £20 ; one bay fijly £19 : one hack filly £5. - ,r.
