INVERCARGILL STOCK SALE

Tuesday, Oct. 3.

The Invercargill Stock Agents report having held their fortnightly sale on Tuesday when 1200 fat and 100 store sheep 76 fat and 195 store cattle were penned. The sale on the whole was fairly good, all prime lots being well competed for.

Fat Cattle. - Three heavy bullocks brought £10 7s 6d, others £6 15s to £8 17s 6d, light and inferior down to £5, prime heavy cows and heifers £7 10s to £8 7s 6d, light down to £4.

Fat Sheep. — "Wethers and maiden ewes 22s to 235, light down to 21s, medium owes 16s 6d to 19s.

Fat Lambs. — The first of the season sold at 15s.

Store Sheep. — Ewes m lamb 265, hoggeta 18s 10d. Several buyers were were not supplied, the yarding being small.
