Ghristohurch, July 26th. Store Sheep— Very few were offered, and all sold well. Four, six, and eight-tooth ewes m lamb made 25s lOd to 20a, wethers 19* 9d, •bogßets 18s to 15s 2d. . •; • •Fat'Bainbs— A. moderate yarding, mostly light and unfinished. Tegs 19s 6d to 20s 9d, lamb weights 16a to 19s; Fat Shepp— The yarding was the largest lor some weeks, and was of good average quality. Bidding- -was « elaok at the opening, ©■port buyers not operating to any extent, and prices .showed a decline, especially for anything that was not really prime. Towards the close there was an improvement, especially m prime ewes and heavy weight withers. Prima heavy wethera 24s to 275, medium welgbts 21b 6d to 23s 6d, light and unfinished 19s 6d to 21s, prime heavy ewes 22s to 255. good 19a to 21a 6d, aged and medium 14a to 18s. Fat Cattle- 220 head yarded, considerably less than half being really prime. The sale dragged till towards the olose when there was an improvement.' Steers brought £6 i 5s to £11 17a 6d, heifers £5 to £9, cows U 5a to £T ss— equal to 2t»s to 22b forprim", medium 18s to 20a' and oow and inferior 16s to 17s 6d p3 Store Cattle^Only a few small lots yarded, and the sales were not sufficient to afford quotations.
